Website Design and Development

Overview

Website Design and Development consists of basically two things. That is, web designing and web development. Web designing will involve designing the user experience aspects of a client’s website in light of the organization’s brand and message and this will involve things such as; defining the project and its scope, drawing necessary site diagrams (wire frames, site maps, user flow charts etc), content creation, visual design etc.

Web design is quite different from website development which will involve; authoring of html5 markup, styling the website using CSS and then lastly scripting and programming. Front end programming focuses on the control logic of the client side while back end programming focuses on implementing business logic for any resources needed by an end user from a client. The websites designed will either be static or dynamic depending on the needs of the client.

Description

We will specialize in the design and development of several kinds of websites which include but not limited to;
  • E-commerce websites: Websites that can be used by people to purchase products. They usually include a shopping cart and a way for someone to provide credit card information to make a purchase. The relaying of information from and to these sites has to be securely protected to ensure that clients’ information is very safe.
  • Business websites: These are websites that are specifically devoted to representing a specific business. They are usually designed in such a way that they are consistent with the business brand and message and to communicate the types of products and services the business offers.
  • Entertainment websites: These are websites geared towards providing content for entertainment purposes. These may also focus on a specific entertainment niche. These make money like business and e-commerce websites do, but usually through the advertisements that show up on the page rather than selling specific products or services.
  • Portfolio websites: These sites are devoted to showing examples of past work. Service providers who want to show potential clients the quality of the work they provide can use a portfolio website to collect some best samples of past work they have done.
  • Media websites: These collect news stories or other reporting. There’s some overlap here with entertainment websites, but media websites are more likely to include reported pieces in addition to or instead of content meant purely for entertainment.
  • Brochure Websites: These are simplified form of business websites. For businesses that know they need an online presence, but don’t want to invest a lot into it, a simple brochure site that includes just a few pages that lay out the basics of what you do may be enough for you.
  • Nonprofit websites: These are devoted to providing an online presence for non-profit organizations. It is the easiest way for many potential donors to make donations and will be the first place many people look to learn more about a nonprofit and determine if they want to support it.
  • Educational websites: The websites of educational institutions and those offering online courses fall into the category of educational websites. These websites have the primary goal of either providing educational materials to visitors, or providing information on an educational institution to them.
  • Info-preneur websites: These create and sell information products. That could be the form of courses, tutorials, videos or eBooks. Info-preneurs need their website to do hard work of building up a knowledge brand.
  • Personal Websites: Many people find value in creating personal websites to put their own thoughts out into the world. This category includes: personal blogs and photo diaries people share with the world.
  • Web portals: These are often websites designed for internal purposes at a business, organization or institution. They collect information in different sources into one place to make all relevant information accessible to the people who need to see it.
  • Wiki or Community forum websites: These are websites where various users are able to collaborate on content and all make their own tweaks and changes as they see fit.
  • Question and answer websites: These are aimed to answer various questions that are presented by various users of the platform. The answers to the questions are answered by other users of the platform.
